Applying for a replacement SS card on K1

I've recently arrived on a K1 visa with my I-94 expiring on November 15th. I was wondering if it would be possible for me to get a replacement for an old Social Security Card? 

I got my previous SSC when I was working on a Q-1 visa in 2008, but at some point in the last decade I lost it back in the UK. I've got the number courtesy of my old tax accountant. 

 

What documentation would I need to take to the local office to get a replacement? Would I have to go in personally or like most replacements would I be able to mail documents?

I just noticed I'm not on SAVE yet from checking the online status (I arrived in the US two weeks ago), I presume if I go down to the office to order my replacement it will be an issue? 

Is there anything I can do to expedite getting my name on SAVE or is it just a matter of waiting?

SAVE checks status of ongoing inquiries into your legal status by agencies. Before there is an inquiry there will be nothing there.
