Submitting Additional Document after Interview

My husband had an interview 2 months ago. The officer at embassy asked for a co-sponsor. I contacted the USCIS and Embassy, they gave me different answers. I contacted the US Embassy but they have never asnwered me.

 

1. Where do I send the documents?

2. How long can I submit document before they close my case?
