Hi All,

We filed for  I751 -removal of conditions in November 2016 . I am living in city A and my wife was living in city B at the time of application as both of us are working.(about 200 miles between city A and city B in same state). The mailing address we gave is for city A where I continued to live. Both me and my wife used to live here  at this city A mailing address for about 1.5 years until my wife started working in city B. All this was documented and explained in the application(lease , utility bills, e.tc for both addresses on my name ). I am travelling to city B every weekend. Now I am moving to city B permanently and both of us will be staying at  a new address in city B. I am confused on how to update the change of address as I see two receipt numbers i.e regular receipt  number and cr189.  Can someone please explain me in detail on how to the update the address and confirm with USCIS that it is updated correctly? Thank you in advance and appreciate all your support.

You can do a change of address online: https://egov.uscis.gov/coa/displayCOAForm.do

You would use the receipt number on the biometrics notice. The one that provides your case status when you check online.

Thank you Diago for the quick response. I was able to change the address but only with the very first receipt number  I received from USCIS. When I tried using the receipt number on ASC appointment notice, CR189, It was giving an error saying "form number does not match with receipt number". But I can the check the case status online only with CR189 number but not with the very first receipt number I received.  Can you please help? Is there a way I can go to nearest USCIS office and reconfirm they have my correct mailing address? Thank you in advance and appreciate all your help.

If you're really concerned, you can contact the USCIS 800 number (1 (800) 375-5283). The first representative you talk to might be able to confirm the change of address is pending for your case, but you may have to ask the representative to transfer you to a tier 2 officer and ask them.
