Step son child support proof?

Hi everyone,

 

New member here, and have a question.

 

I have my 10-year GC, have been married to my USC hubby (by birth) for 6 years and we have 2 kids together. I want to file my N400 soon and have everything ready to go.  Hubby was married once before this, got divorced in 2007 (way back) and he has a son who lives with his mom out of state.  

 

1. On part 11, Information about your children.  My understanding is that I will need to list my step-son here. Correct? Please confirm guys

 

2. On the documents check-list, it asked for "evidence of your financial support".  Do I need to send anything here? I'm his step-mom, never legally adopted him. 

 

3. If I still need to have child support proof, are cleared/printed checks (already paid to his ex) enough?  Also there wasn't any child-support order (court order) for my husband to pay for his child, he of course does support him.  However, as far as proof, we only have the aforementioned cleared checks - sometime he wrote one big check for several months and sometime he sent two checks in one month of there's unexpected expenses etc (so not like consistently every month same amount etc).  Will this be an issue?  And our online bank account only allows us to print these cleared checks up to January 2016.  Do you think we need those before? From 2015, 2014, 2013 etc?
