Hi all,

My husband is bipolar but well controlled on meds and works two jobs which are both with the public. To my knowledge he has never tried to harm himself or anyone because of it. We are applying for spousal visa. We plan on having his treating physician write a letter stating his diagnosis, that he is well controlled and doesn't pose a threat to himself or anyone else. He even wants to get letters from his employers but, I don't know if that will help. This really concerns me when it comes to his Visa being approved. I read about waivers and such but I have no clue if we will need one or not. I read another thread stating it's not necessary. I work in a medical clinic so I have already had him registered as a patient and we plan on getting him in to see a doctor as soon as he arrives to continue care. I am just really nervous that his diagnosis will cause us to be denied. Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
