Hello, I sent back the requested evidence for a bona fide marriage 3 weeks a go and my online status still says we mailed you a request of evidence. isn't that weird do you think my papers got lost on their way or how come it did not reflect on the USCIS website

Thank You!

We thought we were the only ones. We sent the the paperwork they NVC needed about 3/4 weeks ago but our online status still hasn't changed. It's like they never received our requested evidence or something. It's so frustrating!!!

You should've added signature confirmation.  I add signature confirmation whenever I am sending an important document via mail.  You can call the USCIS and ask them why the status hasn't been updated when you sent your documents 3 weeks ago.  They might tell you "The officer has 60 days to respond and you are still within that time frame", but explain to them you want to make sure they received the response only.

With the USCIS, some officers or agents will tell you if a document you sent was received.  They will not tell you what happened to it or what to do, but if you get the right person, they will tell you if what you sent was received and when it was received.

my thoughts to you is to call the USCIS and ask to speak to an officer.  When you do, ask them if they only received your documents.  You just want to know if they received and and IA they tell you what you want to hear.

So you guys I have done so many cases for USCIS believe it or not they should've made me an immigration lawyer lmao. Anyways a little trick from your Yemeni sis... when you call the 1-800-375-5283 number, all they can do is regurgitate whatever you see online on the USCIS website. If you want additional information or if it has been too long since they did anything, call and when they answer you tell them that you called earlier and they transferred you to a higher level supervisor or what not and the line just got disconnected and they will transfer you to another line where they actually have some information besides whats online. Talk to them. But yeah sometimes they have delays in updating the USCIS information.

God bless & Good Luck!
