Visa interview and CRBA interview on same day?

My wife and daughter (6 year old) will have their visa interview in the next few weeks. We also have a 6 week old baby daughter. I will start the CRBA process in the next few days. Does anybody know if the visa interview and the CRBA interview can be done on the same day? I would assume that we would receive a 221G if we did the visa interview before we did the CRBA interview.

Don't see the issue with doing them both the same day, that would be up to you to get them both scheduled so there are on conflicts.

 

And yes you will get a 221G from the embassy if CRBA is not completed before the interview.   From that aspect you can't do both the same day if you want to avoid the 221g as visa interviews are in the morning.

You got the embassy checklist for everything?  Good to go?

Yes, just waiting on the advanced endorsement of her PSA birth certificate. We have photos, sonograms, plane tickets of when I arrived, passport stamps etc. A DNA request would be the only thing that would delay our baby's CRBA and US passport.

Normally if you have good medical records and so forth the DNA testing is requested.

PSA today gave us a May 2nd date for when our baby daughter's PSA birth certificate will be ready. I will file CRBA papers the next day.

Great news!!   Things should go quickly after that, 4-6 weeks later the U.S. passport should arrive Air21.
