President Trump plans to unveil a new White House office on Monday with sweeping authority to overhaul the federal bureaucracy and fulfill key campaign promises — such as reforming care for veterans and fighting opioid addiction — by harvesting ideas from the business world and, potentially, privatizing some government functions.

The White House Office of American Innovation, to be led by Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law and senior adviser, will operate as its own nimble power center within the West Wing and will report directly to Trump. Viewed internally as a SWAT team of strategic consultants, the office will be staffed by former business executives and is designed to infuse fresh thinking into Washington, float above the daily political grind and create a lasting legacy for a president still searching for signature achievements.

“All Americans, regardless of their political views, can recognize that government stagnation has hindered our ability to properly function, often creating widespread congestion and leading to cost overruns and delays,” Trump said in a statement to The Washington Post. “I promised the American people I would produce results, and apply my ‘ahead of schedule, under budget’ mentality to the government.”

Meanwhile... Under oath??????

(CNN)President Donald Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, has volunteered to speak to the Senate Intelligence Committee as part of its investigation into Russian meddling in the US election, a White House spokesman said Monday.

"Throughout the campaign and transition, Jared Kushner served as the official primary point of contact with foreign governments and officials," the White House spokesman told CNN in a statement. "Given this role, he has volunteered to speak with Chairman Burr's Committee, but has not yet received confirmation."
The Senate committee sought Kushner, who is a key adviser to the President, as part of its investigation, two sources told CNN Monday. The timing is still being determined, a Senate aide said.
The New York Times first reported the Senate committee's request.
Lawmakers investigating Russia's role head into a critical week with the prospect that the House investigation could struggle to stay away from drama and a continued push by Trump's supporters to shift the focus from Russia to leaks in the intelligence community.

Jared has lost a lot of weight recently.....

On the other hand : Papa Don is looking haggard and it putting weight on.  I think they are serving up KFC in the Whitehouse kitchen and the organic garden has been plowed under and turned into a  shelter for Bannon ( in case of fallout we need to protect the brain trust)

Normal odds at his age = 2 % chance of passing per year...times 4 years > 8% add on the stress of office 2X?  = 16 % chance of not seeing recoronoration in 2021

Maybe if Melania shows up he can get some of those pounds off. But that's just gross.

He's only now fat and old?

And really, after that 98% chance of Hillary winning debacle if I were a liberal I'd stay far away from making predictions.

I am just using actuarial tables plus the 2x guess (admittedly) because the office is stressful, even if people like you, which only 36% of people like him today

I didn't say fat or old..just think the office is going to wear him down and a lima bean wouldn't hurt.

I do agree that the stresses of the job (and life in general) makes people age faster, but the guy is in his 70s. I fully think he'll be serving 8 years, if he even lives that long, and by then there'll be no end to all the "orange" rotting fruit jokes.
