Thanks Scott and Mirasol. I tired calling you guys but the phone was unattended, I'll try again later.

Just got back from our AOS interview, the lady who interviewed us said the greencard will be mailed in 10 days. Im really happy :dance::dance:

Congrats sis Gracy! Now you're free from Immigration BS for 21 months. Happy for you!!!

hi mae,

to what state are you at right now? i need to find a clinic that is free too over here in georgia...

take care.

I'm here in Springfield, Missouri and I got my shots for free at the City Health Dept.

--Mae

How much is the civil surgeon fee? are all surgeons accredited by USCIS have the same fee?

thanks.

It took me 4 calls to find one who would not require a full physical again...ask them to complete the 693a for you, not to transfer your shot record. The first 3 I talked to (I asked to transfer the shot record) insisted on doing a full physical, the last one I talked to (I asked to have a 693a completed) verified that I only wanted the vaccination supplement and then immediately scheduled the appointment.

The fees vary from place to place, ours will be $67... Good Luck!

Nobody knows for sure but we paid $50 for my vaccination supplement, reading the TB skin test that I had at the city health department and attesting that even though the result was positive (size of the red swelling on my skin was 15mm), is because of the BCG shots I got when I was a kid. You need to get the list of Civil Surgeons in your area and make some inquiries. Just remember, you only need the vaccination supplement, not the entire medical since you came here using K1. The only reason why you will need to redo the entire medical is if the last medical you had is past 12 months.

Good luck!

Yeah.. don't get the full physical! In my case, although I said it again and again that I only wanted the supplement, they almost gave me a full physical. Gah.

And.. I didn't get the TB Skin test done :P Very risky of me, but by the time I'd learned about the skin test, my visit to the doctor's was all over! Imagine my panic after that.. But now I'm hopeful that it will no longer be an issue because the TB scare seems to have died down, and it (skin test requirement) seems to be based on the interviewer's discretion.

We got the TD shot and TB Skin test done at the local health Dept. The total cost was $15 for both (the cost may different where you are...), then we took the cards from them and the 3025 from St Lukes to a civil surgeon to have all of the info transfered to the 693a

If that is the closest place to where you live that's where I would go (that's how we picked the place we went to).

Novie did not have any swelling from the TB test, but here shoulder was sore for several days from the TD shot and she had flu like symptoms for one day after getting the shot.

You're a legal alien allowed to work :):thumbs:

Just a correction on this... If your I-94 was stamped with temporary EAD at your POE, then you can answer iya's reply. Otherwise, you are a legal alien not allowed to work... at least not yet until you got the EAD or GC.

How many days does that the swollen part on the skin for the TB skin test be gone?

It took at least 2-3 weeks for me for the swelling to clear. It will look like a small skin disease and very itchy as the swelling subside.

K1 visa holder's are allowed to work based on statute until the K1 visa expires...but the likelihood of finding an employer who will read the statute is almost non existent. Since my fiance is already getting bored staying at home while I work, I printed this out just in case she does get a call from an employer.

So what documents you showed guys to the civil surgeon that we had the physical exams and some bloodworks done in the Phils? All the medical reports except for the vaccination records and xray plates were forwarded to the immigration officer upon POE. None of us have the copies of the exams taken and medical results...I asked this since one civil surgeon insists to give me a physical exam and bloodtests since he wont be able to see a proof that I had it in the Phils. And one surgeon wants that the physical exam and bloodtests must also be done by a civil surgeon...we called lots of offices already although there is one office said that as long as we provide them proof that I had everything done already, then they will only do the transfer of the medical records.

Please give me advice on the proper support and documents.

thanks alot.
