Being in AP over one year and the embassy asking for extra information

Hello everyone,

 

I'm a little bit confused by what the embassy asking for. 15 Days ago I got an email from the embassy asking for additional information which is (Travel History, My Martial Status and Family Registry History) and I immediately started to prepare for all those documents with our GOV. However, I have replied to the embassy with my last 5 years of my travel history which I wrote it down from my memory and stamps on my passports that the timeframe I have been in each country, and also as for my martial status which is "Married" I have provided them with couple of pictures for me and my wife and our kids that has been taken during the current month while we all together. So the remain thing is the Family Registry History Certificate, i informed the embassy that it will take at least another 10 Days in order to get it done.

But here what happened. The embassy reply saying that (They don't need any documents from me)  Yep, as you heard, they don't need nothing from me but they just need me to answer on those questions which is (Travel History, My Martial Status and Family Registry History). Also they need all my kids Date and Place of birth, which is I already did that before and i have listed all of them included the application DS-260. Also they asking me to list my wife's full name, which is so weird because, my wife she's the petitioner for this case and her all information including her full name listed in every single paper, means on all the paperwork we have submitted with the USCIS and The Embassy. I really don't understand what's the embassy want to determine, after whole entire year the case been stuck in the embassy and they still asking for further information.
