Question regarding InfoPass

I am thinking about making an InfoPass appointment with the local USCIS office for my wife's I-765 (based on pending I-845 (previously K-1)). I wonder which kind of information or in other words, how detailed information on case progress can be got with such an appointment?

We submitted I-485/I-765/I-131 and supporting documentation on Oct 11, 2016 (official USCIS receipt date). Got NOA1 (letters) for all three applications two weeks after and had a walk-in biometrics done on Oct 28, 2016 (original biometrics appointment date was Nov 7, 2016). So far no RFEs. I-131 was approved on Jan 4, 2017 (day 85), but no any updates on I-485 or I-765. I felt a bit weird because I saw most people got I-131 and I-765 approved almost on the same day.

I understand that I-485 may take a bit longer but I was told that USCIS has to make a decision on I-765 within 90 days after the official receipt date. Monday (Jan 9, 2017) would hit the 90-day mark but I am not optimistic that we can get any updates. I want to know what's going on on my wife's I-765 and I-485. I read somewhere that occasionally biometrics info collected at local USCIS office got lost, which caused huge delay on I-485/I-765 processing (because USCIS assumed that you just missed the appointment and would not send out REF as a reminder), I felt nervous and want to know if an InfoPass appointment can help me find out if our case has the similar issue.

Thank you very much for your time and help!
