Hello all N400 Filers,

I just have questions for those who have interview schedule in 2017. Should we file 2016 tax return and bring it to the interview? Are we even required to bring three years tax return transcript at the interview?

Thank you. Good luck to you all.

If your interview takes place sometime in May/June/July, you should bring your 2016 transcripts. Obviously you are allowed to file your taxes by April 15, it would take another 1-2 weeks to get the transcripts after that. I doubt they would pick on the 2016 taxes before May.

You are required to bring last three (or five) year's tax transcripts to the interview. Whether the IO would ask for them is another story. I filed my taxes early last year, sent my 2015 transcript with my application last March. IO still asked to see the 2015 transcript when I had my interview in last June.
