Hi!

I am an EB3 visa applicant from the Philippines. I was originally scheduled for interview on November 2, 2016, however since I am working overseas (Oman), I requested for my case to be transferred here to the US Consulate here in Oman.

As per US Embassy Manila's correspondence, they have sent my physical case file on November 3, 2016 to US Embassy Muscat, Oman. After 3 weeks of being"transfer in progress,"on December 8, my ceac status was changed to "ready" for interview with my original NVC case number plus the letters MST (meaning Muscat) at the end of the case number (MNLXXXXXXXXXX MST). However when I tried to contact the US Embassy in Muscat to follow up on my interview schedule, they said that they do not have my physical case file yet so they cannot schedule the interview.

Is this normal, that the status of my case says "ready" and US Embassy Muscat does not have my physical case file? Who is actually updating the case status in ceac?

If my physical case file is sent via diplomatic pouch, how long does it usually take to reach pouches from US Embassy Manila to US Embassy Muscat? or other embassies for that matter.

Thanks!
