Good day to all good members of VJ, again I have some concern about the expiration of the K1 Visa, I am wondering if the application for K1 Visa expires even when its still in the system or while waiting for any result? Any informations you will provide us will help us alot and will ease our worries. Thank you very much and have a blessed day!

The I-129F petition, from the NOA1 does not expire until it is denied or withdrawn (that I know of).

The NOA2 will have an expiration date on it; generally I believe for 4 months from the date of approval.

This expiration date usually is auto-renewed as long as their is activity on the case.

Say your NOA2 will be December 1, 2016. Expiration probably be about March 30th(just lets say again for instance).

After NVC (2-4 weeks), then getting to the embassy. As long as you set an interview date and all even for April 15th, it should be auto renewed.

The embassy understands there are delays, maybe even lack of available interview/medical spots so as long as you act on it you should be fine.

If you are concerned about it you can always contact the embassy and inform them.

Good luck!
