My stepdad was paying someone to help him file the petition for my mother, she already got approved by USCIS, got a case number from NVC, received a letter from NVC asking for supporting documents and affidavit of support. Well supposedly everything got sent back to nvc. About three months past by and we were still waiting for the interview date. I decided to call nvc and ask, they said that they were missing the supporting documents. Now I'm wondering if we can do electronic processing? Can I email NVC the scanned supporting documents like birth certificates, marriage certificate ect?

Forgot to say that her case is from Santo domingo, dominican republic..

Edited to add didn't he provide the marriage certificate and birth certificate when he filed the i130??

When they go to the embassy for the interview they will need all the documents with them which they keep just to let you know. They are in English and Spanish that they will need. When my husband did his visa application ds-260 he had the option to upload them there but was told to just bring them to the embassy and not to upload but our process was different.

Has she done the visa application yet online??

Your welcome

Yes and we've paid all fees too they just need the supporting documents and we only got copies with us right now so I don't know if it's possible to send nvc copies now and take original documents to the interview?
