DS260 From Seoul Embassy

Hello everyone.

Need some clarification regarding a Direct Consular filing for my Korean spouse IR visa.

We finished and complete/submitted the DS260 to the NVC.

We have to submit numerous documents including the i184 and criminal back ground checks, health check etc etc.

I'm confused by the following:

Do I have to submit all of this stuff to the NVC in the states in order to get an visa appointment here in Seoul?

OR - Do I have to make a visa appointment for the US Embassy in Seoul and then bring all of these documents to the interview??

I was thinking the latter but now I'm not sure.

Any help and/or clarification is much appreciated.

Best!

My husband just got his visa back after doing dcf. We didn't upload anything online just brought all the documents it asked for to the embassy the day of his interview. Different embassy so maybe it's different policy but I know for the affidavit of support you need the original with the ink signature on it.

Once the interview date was issued we received a email with everything we need to bring to the interview and also for his medical and visa appointment(took his picture and fingerprints)

Good luck

Jennifer and Dave.

Thanks so much for your input. I do appreciate it.

I think my confusion stems from looking at DCF instructions and also language on the instructions that come from NVC.

All the best!
