Due date for AOS Fee

Hello all,

I know I am at the opposite side of the spectrum here, however I got a $120.00 invoice dated October 14, 2016. The letter that accompanied it indicates that I have one year to take action otherwise its back to square one. Having said that, I was wondering what the due date for this fee is ? Do I have a year to pay? The due date would not be an issue but I am facing some financial hurdles right now and it would sure help to find out how long I have to pay this fee.

NVC has a one-year contact rule. So you have one year to act upon the correspondence or your case will be closed with no refund of monies paid thus far.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

 

Now a US citizen!
