HI,

Just received my NOA2 on 3/10/06, yahoo! :P But, now I am wondering how long it will take before the interview date is set. Is there anything I can do to move this process along? How long after NOA2 does interview date usually come? I am a teacher and off for the summer, so it would be very convenient if interviewd occurred in June. Will my fiance still receive a "packet 3" or do they just send "packet 4" with interview and medical exam date these days? Any tips on what she should do over there to prepare for interview? Can we get VISA from office in Manila instead of waiting for delivery? So many questions. Please help if you can!

There's nothing you can do to speed up the interview date. Unfortunately, I would estimate your interview about September--not the best of circumstances for a teacher.

The packet with the forms and the medical and interview dates should come about a month before the interview.

You can't pick up your visa in Manila. You will pay Delbros the delivery fee after the interview and they will deliver the visa after the consulate releases it.

HI,

Thanks for the help John and Marlene. Unfortunately, none of that news is good news for me. Anyway, my approval says it is only good until 7/9/06. Do I have to apply for an extension since it takes so long for the interview to be set up?

hello matt&kristine,

Congratulations on your noa2

i agree with john_and_marlene , theres nothing you can do to speed up visa process

you can however keep an eye out on this link

or i suggest after a couple of months calling the dept of state

1-202-663-1225 prompt 1 then 0 to speak with a visa specialist

from my noa2 approval to interview is four months

dont worry to much about the date of expiration

the consular will extend as needed

Good luck and wish you the best
