Montreal K1 Visa Delivery

Hello,

We have scheduled our K1 Visa interview on 11/2 and registered for a courier location for VISA delivery. However, I have a question. At some point during the registration process I saw a section that says "If you are currently in the USA on a non immigrant visa, you may be able to pick up your visa the next business day"

My Finance has been staying with me in the USA on a non immigrant (tourist) visa for the summer. We will be traveling from the USA to Canada for the visa interview.

My question is, what are the parameters for picking up the visa the next business day? He currently has a stamp in his passport good for 180 days. I can't seem to find any further information on this option. His name is also on my lease etc.

I'm trying to plan travel to Canada for the interview and need to figure out if this is a real option.

Thanks for any insight anyone can offer.

Sorry can't help you there.

May I ask an unrelated question.... how long did you have to wait for your interview in Montreal once they received your package?

Holy macaroni... that's quick! Makes me feel hopeful I can return this year. I submitted my checklist yesterday.

Thanks for the reply.

Good luck to you! :)

You may want to request the thread be moved to the Canada forums.

With that said though, I don't think it's possible to get a k1 visa the next day. Maybe other visas, but not K1.

That and the note you says it said, mentioned that if you are IN the US then you may get next day visa, but your fiance WON'T be IN the US because he'll be in Canada for his interview. The interview will be in Canada 100% no matter what. Usually there's an extra layer of background checking and such AFTER the approval (assuming he's approved), that can take more than a day.
