Beneficiary with Minor in Possession

Hi everyone,

We are waiting on our NOA2 to come through, so in the mean time I have been looking at the stages I have to take when that comes through. I am a bit of a worrier, and am concerned at the MIP I got when I was a college kid back in 2010.

Basically, I was on a J1 student visa, and got an MIP (alcohol) which I paid the fine for immediately. I have looked at the DS-160 form and the medical interview sheet, and both ask the question along the lines of "have you ever been arrested or fined for alcohol related crimes", which the answer is yes.

I am going to be honest as do not want to misrepresent anything. That is the only blemish on my criminal record, is that going to be a problem at all? It isn't a crime of moral turpitude but don't want this to affect the chances of being with my fiancé, because I had a beer when I was 20 years old six years ago. Any help is greatly appreciated. Cheers, Mike.
