Can NVC schedule IV interview for minor at Embassy while parent's case not complete yet? (South Africa)

Good day family VJ,

I am just wondering what will happen to our cases. We are at NVC stage since July 31st, 2016 on IR-1 & IR-2 Visa. To make a long story short, here is what a mother is worried about. Our daughter's case was completed August 30th and on the same date I (mom) got a checklist of outdated version of I-864 which was responded and second scan date is September 2nd, 2016. Up until now, we don't know if NVC is going to continue scheduling our minor daughter's interview at the embassy or maybe they will also put her case on hold until mine is complete since both cases are petitioned by one person and same choice of agent.

I have been checking the updates online but my case still shows AOS paid but the other columns shows N/As. Since we are going to have our interviews at the neighboring country, I hope and pray that they won't separate our cases and if in fact this happens; I pray that they would accept expedition so that I can get interview on the same date as my daughter.

* How long does it take for NVC to schedule interview at the embassy after CC?

* Do you think NVC will accept expedite request in case they schedule IV interview for our minor daughter ahead of mine?

Is there is any one experienced this type of confusion? I have been searching on internet but I could not find any relevant answer to my question especial on family visa that will immigrate together with minor children.

Your advise and suggestions will be highly appreciated.

My husband and I had separate IR5 visas, similar to your seperate IR-1 and IR2 situation. The two petitions became a little separated during the NVC process but everytime I spoke to an agent at NVC they could see that both were unofficially linked. The Consulate end of the journey was good....same date, same time and even interviewed together even, though they were separate petitions.

Hopefully your experience will be the same! I found NVC very understanding with ALL my questions, so maybe call and ask?

Thank you very much for your response. This is very much comforting. I guess I'm just worried about our little one and much more of back & forth costing that might will cost.
