Possible reasons for k1 visa to be denied

Hello guys,

Let me ask you if you have any idea.

What would be the possible causes for k1 visa to be denied?

I've met my fiance way back December 2015 and met in person last May 2016 then started to file the application last June 2016.On the other hand,our relatioship didn't take years before we got engage.We got our NOA2 last August 30,2016 but until now we haven't heard anything. My question is, does it affect our application if ever?

Your case should be on its way to NVC (or its already there or on its way to the embassy). Have you tried contacting them? Some people gets notification from NVC that its being sent to the embassy, some don't. So you could try calling them for immediate answers.

You don't have to be in a relationship for years to file K1, as long as you MEET your fiance within the 2 years before you file. My fiance and I met back in May 2015 and we filed this year July 2016. Got our NOA2 on Aug 31 2016. I called them exactly two weeks later to check up on our case status, confirmed that they have received it already and got our case number. Aaaannnnd it just arrived at the embassy today.
