under review vs waiting to review

Does anyone know about the terms the NVC uses when responding to inquiries, such as

"under review" and "waiting to be reviewed" and "not yet reviewed", etc......

Before, my cases were sent for supervisor review, when I checked with the NVC about the case status, the response was; "your mail was received on this date, and your case is waiting for review"

Now, that we have passed the normal Six week time frame and have been sent for supervisor review, the response is; "you case is now under review and the appropriate action will be taken when the review is completed".

Is there any real difference?? Is this wording change just to appease us into waiting longer??

Under review seems to imply that action is being taken now.

Also, My cases that are in question were subject to a checklist that has been responded to. We are past 6 weeks after the 2nd scan date now. SO FRUSTRATING!!!!!!
