RFE for K1 visa

I am a USC, I recently got a letter requesting more evidence pertaining to my past. basically about 5 years ago I was involved in a dying if not already dead relationship, we had a domestic dispute and I foolishly lost my temper and smashed a glass in anger, no other violence. I was arrested and charged but completed anger management courses among other things and the charges were ultimately dismissed, very bad period of my life that I would rather forget. Anyway, the RFE has requested all court records on the subject, which I have ordered from the court certified. My question is will this black mark on my past prohibit my fiancé and I proceeding with getting her a visa? we are both concerned about the consequences. Thanks in advance

Not necessarily. But why were you not upfront with the evidence? That could be the problem.

i was honest with them from the start and submitted a certified copy ofthe order to dissmiss the case, but they have requested i submit more evidence

DId the order include all case details? Then they're just requesting all the info on the case. I personally don't think the RFE is all that bad, especially given the details of what happened.

Thanks, I think I have all the documents I need to send them for evidence now, my main concern is wether it was a cause for denial of the application

i did submit a court stamped motion and order of dismissal with the i129, but they want evidence of the original complaint, and the final disposition, which is what i thought i had given already

I don't think it will be a problem, especially because you was honest with them from the beggining.

They just want to make sure they know the whole situation.
