Hi, i have a 2 simple questions regarding citizenship application, i appreciate your help

When i will be eligible for citizenship(3 years) , i came to USA on 2/1/2014, i think there is calculator to calculate 90 days but i don't know how to find it?

What this means: You have lived within the state or USCIS district where you claim residence for at least 3 months? I'm now in vacation overseas

If you go to uscis.gov/forms and click on the N-400 and all of its related forms, you will find a checklist that determines your eligibility to apply for citizenship that includes more than just the "90-day" date.

1) What is the "resident since" date on your permanent resident card? You may file the N-400 within 90 days preceding the three year anniversary date of your permanent resident status.

2) You must be ordinarily resident in a service area for three months prior to filing with that service area's office. For the N-400, there are two service areas. See "Where to File" at the following link: https://www.uscis.gov/n-400

If you're on vacation, but you live (and have lived for more than three months) in California, you can file with the following address:

For Express Mail or courier deliveries, use the following address:

Yes i already went to the checklist, the only requirement that i did not understand very well is 3 months in the state? i don't understand what they means with this,

resident since 02/01/2014, so the 90 days will start i think in October!

i live in California , yes i'm just in vacation i will stay for 2months and few days, this will be the first time i take vacation overseas since i become resident, so when i saw -3 months in the same state- i get confused

Not quite true. This is why I directed the OP to read the info at uscis.gov. What you have alluded to is just 1 category of eligibility for citizenship.

2) You must be ordinarily resident in a service area for three months prior to filing with that service area's office. I know this may seem pedantic, but there is no such thing as "living in a service area". Also, there are more than just 2 addresses depending on where the resident lives. Again, this is why the OP needs to read up on it. For the N-400, there are two service areas. See "Where to File" at the following link: https://www.uscis.gov/n-400

I realize that there are other criteria by which someone is elligible for naturalization, but OP narrowed his/her questions to specific ones that caused him/her confusion, so limiting the answer to those is appropriate. What I alluded to is one answer to one question.

The USCIS AFM refers to the three-month residency requirement by specifically mentioning "service district area." There are two addresses based on the filing of N-400, exception: if you are a former member of the military, spouse of current member of the military, or close relative of deceased member of the military.) As provided in the link I supplied.

The OP's location is listed as California.

Is USCIS means with 3 months , 3 months residency in the same State CA for me right? by the time i will be back to CA i would like to apply for citizenship, can i do that although i will spend almost 2 and half months overseas?
