Hi -

We're starting the K1 application process and want to get things right the first time through. That said we have some questions regarding the I-129(f).

She's a British citizen, I'm American, and we both live in South Korea(until March 2017).

- On the I-129(f), mailing addresses:

Part 1 #2: "Your Mailing Address": Is this my address in the US, or where I currently live (South Korea)?

Part 2 #3: "Alien Fiance's Mailing Address": Is this her permanent address in Englland, or her current address in South Korea?

Part 2 #29-32: "Your Fiance's Address Abroad": Would this be our temporary South Korean address?

- I know the answers to both of these should be straight forward, but we are leaving South Korea for home early next year, so will we be able to change our addresses in the future or should we use our home addresses from the outset?

Additionally, do we still file this at the Dallas office or is there a way to file outside of the US?

What happens if the I-129(f) is approved while my fiance is still in South Korea? Can she have an interview here, or must she travel back to England for that?

Lots of questions, thanks for any help!

Regards

Firstly, all I129f petitions must be sent to the lockbox in Dallas.

1) You need to use a US address, because the USCIS will not send any correspondence abroad. Make sure someone is collecting your mail at this address.

2) Could be either. You should use the address she is most likely to be staying at when the petition is approved (4-6 months from now)

3) Should be her current address.

Is your fiancée a legal resident in Korea? Then she can interview there. Make sure to indicate that on the petition.

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.
