K1 cancel will it affect my next application?

My bf filed the petition but we are not getting along now because he wants to control me. Even before he filed it I just gave him a chance because I thought he can change. Now he always think I will cheat on him and 24 hrs he wants me to talk on the phone. If he can't contact me he will call my mom. Because of him being controlling I can't take it anymore and I changed everything for him not to contact me. I don't want to marry someone who will be my father not an understanding husband.

My question is if I will ask him to cancel it and someone will petition me will it be a problem? Thank you for all those who will make time to answer me. Good luck to all of us.

It should not be a problem. Many people have had success with a 2nd K1 from a different fiance.

However, subsequent K-1 for you will be heavily scrutinized to see if you are marrying for a green card. The US Embassy will look for proof of a bona fide relationship.

I still don't have a new bf I just want to know because I really don't care about going there if my life will be in hell. I am just asking if ever I will have another relationship.

The last thing you want here is someone to control you and make your life living hell...Like the above member mentioned, in the future you should have no problem being petitioned but expect to be questioned by the CO in the Phil. In the future if petitioned, I suggest that you have plenty of proof and your next man can visit you more than one time in person.

You hear many stories about fiance coming to the states and being abused by her husband. Also, you hare about many women who come here with intention for fraud as well, lying to their husband of wife just for the sake of coming to America...Its a two way street...So you need to think about it very carefully and your intention to coming to the US.
