Hello everyone!

Hubby and I are taking a mini Eurotrip to celebrate our 3rd anniversary and my birthday and we're staying 2 days in each city. I've done my own research on TripAdvisor, but I wanted to see if we could get advice from locals from Munich, Florence, and Barcelona.

1. Good places to eat? (Or your favorite places.)

- Favorite dishes/must try dishes

2. Museums or places we must visit.

3. Language barriers with English? (I'm fluent in Spanish.)

4. Airport tips (Should arrive 2 hrs before flight, etc.)

5. Anything else we should know?

I appreciate any information y'all can provide for us! Thanks! ^_^

Can I give an American/British couple's impression? We drove ourselves all over Europe.

Munich(twice)- No problems with English in restaurants and shops. German maps are precise and spot on and every street is marked.. Always had fun at the Hofbräuhaus. Don't be shy and pick an empty table in the corner upstairs. Look for two spots right by the band and ask if you can join their group. We did that three times and had a lovely evening with Italians, Germans, a Pole, and a drunk American from Chicago. Hilarious evening dancing and drinking beer with brand new friends.

Florence- Maps are a challenge. The street may have a sign, or be painted on the side of a building or completely missing. (We were driving). Uffizi Gallery. Yes! But don't miss the statue of David in another area and building just because the lines are long. Don't be confused by the concrete replica in the plaza. The real statue is a masterpiece in smooth marble. Up close and personal was more amazing than any photo. Notice the details of tiny veins. Beautiful. I just sat on the bench behind David and checked out his bum for a long time. I do appreciate the fine arts (as much as drinking beer and dancing with Germans) so those were pretty awesome and the reason I wanted to go to Florence.

Hey Nich-Nick! Long time no see! I remember you being so amazing in the UK community on here and helping everyone out, including myself and my husband. I'm glad you're back!

Of course, I didn't think to simply ask people who have visited as well! I'm open to any suggestions! And thanks for yours - I'll have to check out that place in Munich, sounds fun! I'm absolutely clueless about German food except the kind you get here in Houston. Any suggestions for us to try? I wouldn't mind finding a place that did good soft pretzels too because I love pretzels!

Thanks for the tips on Florence as well, especially about David since I'd probably be confused seeing it outside. haha. I've looked into hitting up the Galileo museum while we're there. We're staying in a place right next to the Arno river and Ponte Vecchio, so I'm excited we can walk from there to everywhere we want to go.
