Hi everyone,

I am on the process of filing I-912 ( the one expire 04/30/2018), and are really confused about part 5. Income at or Below 150% of Federal poverty, if anyone can help me clarify it I would highly appreciated.

In item 4: I listed me and my wife as people who contribute to the household income, in item 5, they ask "Your annual income" and in item 6 they ask "Annual income of all family members but not including the amount in item 5". I read the instruction and it says put the amount on line 37 (Adjust gross income) in tax return on item 5.

My question is since we filed the tax return as married filling jointly, which mean the amount on line 37 come from both of us income, so should I still follow the instruction and put 0 for Item 6? or I should split that amount on tax return and put my part income on item 5 and my wife income on item 6? If I do that neither of those number show up on tax return as evidence though.

My second question is about item 7 in part 5, it asks total additional income or financial support, i receive some financial aid from school (apply toward the tuition, not working financial type) so should i consider it as Educational stipends?

Thank you all

What is the basis for filing the fee waiver?

For example, if your income is under $24,030. (150% of FPL for a household of two, I am assuming you are a household of two), then just check the box for that, fill out the household income part & attach a tax transcript as proof. You don't have to fill out the other parts (part 4&6) if you are basing it on under 150% of FPL income.
