Hello, we will be starting the process soon but I have a couple questions- maybe you can help!

My boyfriend is currently serving in the Army and he's stationed in Upstate New York. I know they have an Attorney Office there, do you think they will help with all the paperwork? My bf is pretty goofy and I think he'd forget half the stuff, leading to undefined delays :/

He said the Army will reimburse him the money visas are going to cost ( k1 visa plus green card after we get married) but I honestly HIGHLY doubt it. Am I right?

I have 2 kids under the age of 10 and they won't be coming to America straight away (I'll need to find a decent job, a comfortable house, schools with special programs for kids who don't speak English), they're not my bf kids, how will this influence the K1 visa procedure?

I guess that's all!!

Thank you so much and I'm sorry if this has been asked before!!

Hey!

My husband is also in the Army and unfortunately they will not reimburse you any of the money spent on the Visa.

When bringing your K2 children over just make sure it's under a year of your arrival to the USA for them to still be eligible.

Ya I imagined that. Whatever I guess.

I have another question, what address shall I put in the "Address where the fiancée intends to live" space?

He is still in the barracks and he'll have his own place only when he'll be married...thanks a lot!!!

I am in the military as well stationed in Italy. Since I don't have a place yet I attached an addendum stating why I don't have an address set in stone. I ended up putting the base hotel address as well as my fathers since we will stay at his place when we first arrive back. They approved my petition so it obviously wasn't an issue. When it comes to the attorneys on base, it can be a hit and miss. I tried using our legal assistance and they didn't know anything about the process. If there is some sort of passport office on post, have him try that first. If not, the legal people may help. If they can't the internet has all the answers. I used VJ and got everything I needed.

Can't seem to use VJ? If you look in the guides, they have K1 information. Shows you everything you'll need.

No I mean the quote thing :) anyway, I think we'll sort it out. I started gathering everything we need starting from evidence such as pictures and boarding passes. And a temporary post pass.

im pretty positive, he's goofy but I'm sure we'll make it!!
