We are just starting the whole process & not sure where to start or what order we should be doing things.

We live in Canada. I am a US citizen and my fiancée is Canadian. We would like to get married & move to Florida. Our plan is next summer (2017).

Where do we begin?

Someone told me I'd have to move to FL and get a job that makes at least $30,000/year and then I could sponsor my husband. I also have 2 children who are US citizens.

If we go there next summer, with our passports, then he can stay 6 months and then he'd have to leave. Is that correct?

Thanks for any help!

Follow these guides:

And check out the i-864p for the minimum sponsorship guidelines

https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p

You can have a joint sponsor who would also uave to make the guidelines foe their family size plus thr immigrant (non-usc) or you can support for 3x the amount in assets (a joint sponsor would need 5x the amount in assets.)
