Hi,

I got a couple of questions.

my wife and I are Canadian citizens. she's also Colombian.

my sister is a US citizen

her sister is a US citizen

both of them are older with health issues and because it could take 12 years I'm worried if we applied under 1 of them and they died our application would to.

so would it be okay for my wife to apply under her sister and I do the same with mine? I'm sure everything will be fine but I read a couple of stories of people waiting 10 years and their sponsor dying.

also, during the wait can we enter the US for a vacation?

can we also apply for an E2 visa during the wait for the green card?

thanks

hi

yes, a person can have more than one petition at the same time

for the non immigrant visa you can try

and for tourism, as long as you show strong ties and that you will return to Canada, I don't think you'll have a problem

aleful,thanks for the reply.

I was thinking that it may look bad or suspicious.

,on the app say if my wife's does it ...does she put me as her husband or is that step happen at the interview in 12+ years?

is the application easy to do, no lawyer necessary right?

thanks

hi

each of your sisters will file the i130, on part C17 of the form is to list spouse and children of beneficiary

so the form that your sister files, you are the beneficiary and she will list your wife as your derivative on C17

and viceversa for your sister in law,

she will fill out the i130 for your wife as the beneficiary and list you as the derivative

they don't need your marriage certificate for now, because the i130 is to prove relationship between the petitioner and the beneficiary

you will need birth certificates, any document not in English needs a translation to accompany the copy
