My fiance recently received the K1 Visa and we will be moving next week. He has not record of previous shots and I know that is part of the requirements for the I-485, adjustment of status. Shots here in Colombia are a lot cheaper and when we got his medical before the interview, the doctor gave him a list of shots: Tdap, M.M.R, Varicella, and Influenza. Should we get the shots while we are here or wait until we get back to the US?

Thanks so much!

Jennica I got my shots via my health insurance in Colombia for free, I also went to the Red Cross office at El Dorado airport in Bogota and they transferred my vaccines into the international vaccination card,It was useful for the Dr that filled my I693 form here.

My advice is to get them in Colombia and if there is any dose left you can get that here at the health department (usually free of charge/or cheaper that at a Dr's office)

It's definitely cheaper to get them there, I was missing a couple and they cost me a lot of money here in the US. So from my experience and seeing the huge difference in cost I say he should get them in Colombia. The civil surgeon here should charge you (if you find one that doesn't rip you off) just around 25 dollars for the transcript, and that's what you send with the AOS package once you are married. good luck!
