HELP JULY 2014 filer!!!

My husband and I filed for AOS on July 2014. We got our interview on November 2015 and were approved. We had waited so long for this moment,,,, then when we received the green card two weeks later we received a letter saying they had made a mistake and to send it back filling out the form i-90. Today marks 7 months that we havent heard anything. The last time I called they told me since they are still in processing times and servicing september 2015 filers we cannot file a service request.

Any body suggest anything?

Your situation sounds awful. How could USCIS screw things up so badly as to approve an interview, issue a green card, then ask for it back two weeks later? I say that, though my experiences with them reveal them to be utterly incompetent at times...

I also can't see how they can tell you that you are still in the processing time frame if you FILED for AOS in July 2014. Or are they telling you the time frame for form I-90? I don't see why they are asking you to use form I-90 anyway for a mistake on their behalf. Did they state what the mistake was?

I would get on to your local Congressman and get their office involved with the case. They might be able to drag some sense out of USCIS as to what on earth they are playing at. If they are still deliberating your AOS, bear in mind that if you get re-approved next month, it will be two years since you initially filed and you'd be eligible for a 10 year green card without conditions. If it's just to correct a mistake on the green card, I really don't see why it has taken over 7 months to rectify and why they haven't informed you.
