After months of confusion and error on USCIS's part, we have finally received approval for the Advance parole I-131. Thanks ombudsman!

Our tickets are scheduled for next Wednesday.

We are hoping that the document will arrive before Wednesday. However, if it does not, will we have any issues leaving the country? It was approved (checked online). My parents will join us 3 weeks later and will be able to bring us the document then.

Hello,

Did you get an answer to your question? I'm waiting for my advance parole and planning to travel on July 1st. I don't know if it was approved or not as I can't check my case online (always saying my case number is wrong when it's not). My husband could bring me the paper once he meets me in my home country in August if I don't receive it before I leave.

But I was wondering if we are allowed to leave the US without the paper?

Thanks!

There is never any problem leaving the US -- the US doesn't have exit checks. The question is about coming back.

As long as it says on the AP document that it was issued before the day you leave, and it can be delivered to you to bring back, it'll be fine.
