Hello everyone! I am new to this forums. I have been searching for guides for filing a K1 visa without a lawyer online and found this wonderful site!

I don't know how if all conuntries are the same but mine question is regarding "Korean fiance" filing for I-129F. If anyone is experienced and will explain to me, it' ll greatly help me out!

I've managed to fill out all of the basic stuff. Although, I am having trouble with fitting the translated Korean addresses in the I-129F form. Is it okay for me to attach another sheet with the corresponding petition form? (such as I-129F and the G-325a) Also, do I have to prep and translate my fiance's family registry / police clearance / and personal registry form and send it in with the I-129F form at the same time or is this after it gets approved? Is there anyone whos petition got denied due to error in submitting this? If so, whats the step after? Much thanks in advance! Thanks for looking this up!

Welcome to the forum! Yes that's exactly what you need to do. Attach it to the petition, stating what question it follows, then sign and date it. I did so with no issues at all. After you get approved is when you'll need your police clearance etc. It won't hurt to submit those things, but it won't necessarily help either. Read this, http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide

It lets you know exactly what you need to send. Good luck!

you don't have to send chats, but you can if you want. More importantly focus on pictures, boarding passes, hotel receipts, etc. if you do send them you can translate them yourself and attach a statement such as

I [typed name], certify that I am fluent (conversant) in the English and ________ languages, and that the above/attached document is an accurate translation of the document attached entitled ______________________________.

Signature_________________________________

Date Typed Name

Address

I've also read instances where people didn't have them translated.

Chat logs are ok for this (in USCIS stage), but birth certificates, police reports, etc MUST be translated by a certified translator

Hi! I sent G-325 & Letter of Intent to my fiancee in Russia to sign and I'm not sure if it's OK to send back to me by e-mail. Nowhere I can find if they have to be original not a photocopy. I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

Please make sure that you start a new topic for your questions. But to answer your question, they can be scanned copies. A few years back people would get RFE's for not having a "wet" or original signature. This hasn't been an issue in a few years though. I did get the original signatures to just be on the safe side, but copies are being accepted now.

Oh! Im so sorry to be of a bother... but I dont understand this international marriage broker... is that like a match making service thing? My fiance and I met through mutual friends. Apparently if filing under the international marriage broker, I need to send in my police clearance with the I-129F. Since we didnt use a paid service, I would not have to send in my own police clearance at the time of sending my packet right? Thanks in advance once again! :D

Glad to help, an IMB is used for dating services like match.com, Cupid.com, things of that sort. If you met through mutual friends and not on a dating sight, you're fine. But if you did meet on a dating site you would need a statement from that site, stating that they are not an international marriage broker. As far as I know, you don't need a police report for anything during this phase, unless you have criminal convictions to diclose as stated in the I-129f.
