Manila DCF

I have a little confusion here and am asking for a little help.

We hand submitted our I-130 directly to the embassy in Manila.

(This was done this way since I had other business at the VA right down the street and the fact that Manila has a local USCIS inside their compound).

I then received an email from Manila USCIS requesting some missing information, which was immediately provided and then we received our I-130 approval with instructions to fill out and submit our DS-260.

We just submitted our DS-260, doing the normal automatic electronic filing....and this is where my questions are.

1. Since my email requesting the filing of the DS-260 came from the Manila USCIS and not NVC, do I need to submit another DS-260 directly to Manila???

And

2. How would I do that since the DS-260 is an electronic submission????

First off, congratulations!

Your paperwok will not go to NVC and you won't send any documents to them either.

What you need to do now is to fill out the DS 260 form online if you have the MNL case number already. Once completed, schedule your medical and interview date.

DCF is by far more simple because the nvc it taken out of the process.

You will submit the papers that nvc would require at the interview. All you have to do now, as mentioned, is to schedule your interview and medical, and gather the papers to take with you.

DCF moves really fast, if you stay on top of it, and are ready, the process from I-130 submission to visa in hand could be about a month- or just a little less.

We will get medical scheduled ASAP so that part will be done.

So I am assuming that Manila will just download the DS-260 based upon my confirmation number; and I just bring all the financial and other back-up documents with me to the interview??

Yup. Once you get the MNL case number, fill up the DS-260, print out the confirmation page. Then schedule the medical exam and interview. Print out the appointment letter for the interview. Don't forget to get the medical done a week before the interview. And since you are doing DCF, you pay $325 processing fee at the embassy on the day of the interview.

Hi everyone, I am new here. I just filed DCF on may 20, 2016...we just got our petition approval on June 8, 2016. We recieved a phone call and email to tell us of our approval and that is being forwarded from USCIS to consular section of the embassy.

We were told that in a few days we will receive another email instructing us on how to proceed.

My questions are

1. Will we recieve our MNL case number from them?

2. What are the fees and how much are they now for th next steps?

We are already aware of the medical exam costs 11,300 php

Yes, there is an email we received from the Manila embassy with our MNL case number and instructions on what to do next.

I understand we pay our fees directly at the embassy just like we did when we first applied with the I-130....but I don't know the full amount yet as we haven't reached that step yet.

I have heard it starts somewhere around $325 plus that medical fee of P11,300 paid directly to the clinic.

since you're doing DCF, after the petition is approved you will receive an email with MNL case number. Once you get this, you could proceed to scheduling your interview and filling up ds-260 online. You can now also schedule your medical, just make sure it's at least 1 week before the interview.

With regards to the fees,

Php 11,300 for the medical, which you pay at St. Lukes

$325 visa processing fee that you pay on the day of the interview at the cashier in the embassy

Hi Joanamber,

Our first step was to hand carry our I-130 to the US Embassy in Manila where we turned in the application and paid our fee.

So far, this does seem an easier way to get a visa than to do it through the traditional way through the visa centers.

How many weeks does it take for you to receive the first email from USCIS? The NOA email? we have just filed the petition last November 21.2016 at the US Embassy in Manila.
