Wound-up hipsters are so upset theyve protested by listing the village under examples of police states on Wikipedia.

The hamlet of Montauk, NY, is currently in a police state orchestrated by a fascist town of East Hampton regime that will not stop until all the bars and restaurants in the village convert into assisted living homes, or agree to serve only cranberry juice indoors and close by 9 p.m., wrote an anonymous editor.

Other blows to the hard-partying hoardes include the closure of beloved fish shack and sunset cocktail spot Cyrils. The town also recently adopted a strict rental registry, making it harder for out-of-towners to snap up Airbnb deals.

Larry Cantwell, supervisor of East Hampton, which administrates Montauk, told us the crackdown has nothing to do with a culture war between trendy outsiders and the shuffleboard set.

Well 55 views so far. This police state needs to be taken down. I'm heading there, June!!!!
