Hi guys!

I have just scheduled my medical for 23rd May and was wondering when I can book my interview at the embassy? I've just been reading that the process has changed and that I can book it myself, so does that mean I can go ahead and pay/book now even though I haven't had the medical? I understand I have to wait a week for the results to be sent to the embassy so would have to book for June, but want to make sure I am allowed to do so first. If this is the case, I can complete my 'readiness' statement too now, correct? thanks for the help!

I think you can book right away, there'll be a 6 week gap between now and interview anyway, so that will be time for the results to arrive.

Assuming it lets you. Some have said it didn't allow them to book yet.

I don't think you can until you've had your medical and it arrives at the embassy with your DS-160 and readiness form. I think the system just allows you to book your own interview but the process is still the same. I would just keep trying until you can book it, but if they haven't got your paperwork up to date then they won't allow you to schedule it.

I will not look back on this journey with fond memories, but I will look back knowing that every step was worth it, whatever the outcome.

As far as I'm aware it's when your case says 'ready' in London. I know other people that have booked before their medical. Mine is still at NVC and I've the medical booked for next week so I will know soon enough.

Mine was 'READY' from when it got to London and remained ready and still is!

I will not look back on this journey with fond memories, but I will look back knowing that every step was worth it, whatever the outcome.

Well that answers a question assuming g you used the green page and not the non-immigrant (blue) page. It is a new change so people are kinda figuring out what works. Try it again. Maybe it was gimmicky when it first changed over. I think everybody is still guessing what the key factors are.

I tried it last night and this morning. I think from what I've heard from other people your case just needs to say 'ready' on CEAC to book the interview so I just have to practice a little more patience. I will stop stressing as much (hopefully) once I have a date. My fiance has me checking the CEAC morning and night LOL.

Check back on the booking website today, a whole bunch of earlier dates just opened up (starting june 14th)
