Hi everyone,

Could some kind person please look through me and my husbands cover letter and the evidence we listed? Is it enough evidence/anything missing?

I entered on a F1 (student visa), do we have to list that? Only asking as everyone else seem to have entered on a K1 visa, I'm just a little worried about listing the visa I entered on..

Do we add tabs for each of the bullets? They are pretty long, can we just number each bullet and label the tabs with the numbers instead?

If there is anything else that looks odd/is missing, please let me know!

Many thanks,

Amanda

Hi Happy Chic, thank you so much for your reply!

A few followup questions

1. Is it better to do two separate checks for the fees or one that totals to $590?

2. As for the rent bills, unfortunately we only saved this paper copy, the rest is payed online and we are unable to get copies of past bills. Is that going to be a problem?

3. As for gas and electric, it is possible to get copies of past bills, but only my husbands name is on it, not mine (he's the US citizen). Only the most recent one has both of our names. Do you see this being an issue as well?

4. For the previous health insurance, we do not have any cards or bills, the only thing we still have is the termination letter. However, since we are on the same insurance now, shouldn't that be enough?

5. For Verizon, the statements only show phone number, no names, should we include it anyway?

6. As for the tabs that I originally asked about, is it ok to simply number the bullets, and just put numbers on the tabs instead of full titles?

Thank you again for your help! We have edited down the cover letter per you suggestions, and it's now down to two pages (instead of three). Really appreciate it!

One check, they will do an electronic transfer anyway instead of cashing it normally

2. As for the rent bills, unfortunately we only saved this paper copy, the rest is payed online and we are unable to get copies of past bills. Is that going to be a problem?

No point of sending if only one name is on it

5. For Verizon, the statements only show phone number, no names, should we include it anyway?

No point of sending as it proves nothing unless both your names are on it

In general, unless something has both your names on it, then there is no point of sending it in. Just send as much as you possibly can and hope they feel that it's enough. Worst case is that you receive an RFE and if you don't really have anything to add then you'll get an interview.
