Ir-5 Case Complete. How long before interview date? (BMB Consulate)

We are waiting to hear from Mumbai US Consulate. I filed petition for my mom under ir-5 category in August 2015. Our case was complete thankfully on April 13th (got case complete letter on 20th). However the wait right now is excruciating!! Ramadan starts in a month, and my mom likes to fast every day! It would be a big bummer if the interview was scheduled in the middle of Ramadan. We were really hoping our interview date would be scheduled by now Does anyone have experience with BMB consulate? When do they assign interview dates? I have been calling NVC everyday and I'm probably on their blacklist by now

Just as a note:

I never received any RFE's. All I can say is triple-check your documents. Arrange them in a manner described in the checklist. Obtain PCC as soon as you get your checklist (takes 10-12 days in India to obtain one). Send your Financial Documents and Supporting Documents in one package. Our file was delayed by 3 weeks because we sent them separately. Hopefully I will accompany her to the interview when it comes and everything goes smoothly.

Remember she can eat if she has to travel just add those missed days to the end of fast

some will tell you to rescheule if she can't make it but you take your chances then on getting a new interview fast / you could be putting yourself at the end of the list

BMB is one of those over loaded consulate.

I am guessing it will be scheduled by last week of May or max 1st week of June. She should be fine.

UPDATE!!

I called NVC this morning and interview date has been assigned for June 7th!

However, the downside is that Ramadan begins on June 6th. Oh well!

Didnt I tell you max by last week of June?

Ramadan begins 1 day late in India. So June 7th or 8th could be the first day.

Not sure why you think i was not being optimistic.

Ohhh I thought you meant I will get response by 1st week of June, with an interview following a month later. My bad!
