Because that is when the polls close in New York. Hillary will clear substantially more delegates and lop off all the "momentum" Sanders had in the past half dozen tiny states, rendering their quaint hopes and promises as moot.

He won't bow out yet but needing two delegates for every single delegate Hillary needs from here on to clinch the 2383, he has no chance to get there unless she is indicted or her coughing attacks morph into a major illness.

The only surprise remaining is whether trump gets his 1237. If so, say hello to president Clinton.

Sanders lost by over fifteen points. Campaign = kaput.

Strange to see kasich get a quarter,of the vote as his campaign has never been relevant. Carson was even on the ballot in NY, but votes his way were discarded.
