I am waiting for my interview in abudhabi,UAE and i was informed by a vj member that CO are not accepting birth certificate as proof of US citizenship for cosponsor that they request for a passport copy which they know that not every US citizen have ,and getting a passport for my cosponsor will cost more and the time taking for it to be issue,has any one have any information on this and why is US birth certificate been refuse to proof citizenship?the vj member who told me was domicile while my wife is in the US,will my case be different?anyone from abudhabi embassy that have good knowledge about this should help me.thanks

Birth certificate along with copy of state issued ID will be fine.

Not every USC has a passport

this is my thought bjt right now 2 different people told me they asked them to bring the copy of thier passport of thier sponsor.this is just something that some wicked CO want people to pass through
