Good Day,

I will be leaving Saudi Arabia in July and heading back to the UK until everything is processed. I'm only at the NOA1 stage and I'm wondering when I should inform them of my relocation. Should I wait until nearer the time, when hopefully it will have gone to the NVC? The big question is will this delay me in any way? It might mess things up as I am required to get a police report from the Saudi Authorities. I doubt I could get one from the UK as Ive been away for 27 years. I would hate to have to fly all the way back to Riyadh to go to the US Embassy there.

Has anyone else been in a similar situation?

Answers:

• Since you are the beneficiary, you don't inform anybody because USCIS will not speak to you at this juncture. When the file reaches the NVC officially enters the system there is when such changes can be reported by either you or your spouse.
• You will want to confirm the case has been properly rerouted before submitting documents so that may take a little time before such confirmation is received. However, the fees can be paid as soon as they're invoiced so no need to wait on confirmation of rerouting in that regard.
• Saudi police certificates are considered unavailable if you do not reside in the Kingdom.
