So I'm an American citizen and currently I am staying in England with my fiancé. I want to send off the I-129 packet a month before I leave to go back in the hopes that we don't have to be apart too long. But I'm worried about the affadavit of support. I'm obviously not working right now but I plan on finding a job once I get back. Could I just lost my father as a supporter or should I wait until I have two pay checks at a new job before we take that step? Would it make a difference? Also, is there a timeline we have to worry about? After getting the NOA2 can my fiancé hold off for two months on the interview if he chooses, giving me time to get the affadavit together?

What were your previous years (last 3) income?

If you want the submit the process now then a cosponsor is needed. Otherwise you can wait until you have several months income to show after you obtain a new job.
