Hello everyone, I am worrying about my interview letter and how long it usually takes to get it in the post. I did my applicant readiness form on the 27th of January and I had my Medical exam on the 10th of February. I checked on the CEAC checker and it says my status was updated the 16th of February, but it still says ready for interview. It's been over 6 weeks since my status was updated on the CEAC which I assume is them recieving my medical results. Does anyone have any information that might stop me from worrying about this part of the process. Thanks in advance

I would give NVC a call just to enquire if a date has been scheduled or not - I know it can take a while for them to schedule the actual interview but give them a call, they are super helpful and will put your mind at ease. They helped me a lot.

Good Luck!

Six weeks is unusually long. You can email the embassy here https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/visa-information-services/contact-us-immigrant-visas/u-s-embassy-london-visa-unit-contact-form/?_ga=1.224800787.847207316.1438020395

and tell them you are concerned that an interview may have been scheduled and you didn't get the post.they might reply with the date. You can use the email to get in the embassy on interview date, even if you never get the official appointment letter.

Tick the third box as the reason for contact because it's the immigrant visa unit that schedules you.

So my fiance called that number and they said that they have recieved everything and just haven't scheduled and interview yet. But it's been 6 weeks. That's a long time. My fiance said the person on the phone didn't seem too happy, so she is going to call back and ask if there has been any problems. I also already did email them using that link around a week ago, but I haven't received a reply so I have just sent another one right now to see if they get this one. Thank you for the help, I really appreciate it.

Called back and they gave us the number for the UK embassy in London. The number they gave just puts me through to an automated service that says for Visa information visit our website. So the email form is the only way to contact them?

Correct. There is no way to speak to anybody on the phone who can help you with K1 or spouse visa info. If your previous inquiry was ticked "I wish to check on my status", I think they tend to ignore those. Try the third option like I said, and tell them you are concerned it may have been lost in the post. Sometimes they will put you in the schedule right then and email the date.

Here's a post in the UK forum from somebody who got their letter today. You can see her timeline of when she did things for comparison. If you browse back through that thread a few weeks you can pick up others with detailed timelines in their signature....all London interviews. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/534020-uk-vjers-progress-update-thread/?p=8079377

I contacted them with the 'Status Check' selected any they replied within a few days, I think they sent my interview letter that same day too. So it doesn't get ignored, granted the guy on the other end was not very cheerful.

If they don't reply within a week recontact them. Include all your information case number etc.

Yeah I sent them a message around a week ago now, but I chose the second option. Nick said they generally don't reply to those ones so yesterday I sent another choosing the option 3. Hopefully I hear back soon. It's worrying as it's been over 6 weeks since the embassy recieved my Medical results. It feels like iv been waiting forever for this letter

Contact Knightsbridge medical. The results are sent over within 3 days of the medical, so they should have had them.

I used the contact form using option 3 on Friday. Is there any kind of time frame in which they usually get back to people or not?

No. Nothing standard. Maybe 3 hours. Maybe 3 days.
