Hi,

This is my first post on this forum. Can someone please help me? I'm confused what documents do I need?

Here is the situation: my husband petitioned for his parents. My husband (the petitioner) is self-employed and his income is not sufficient. My uncle is going to file I-864 but his income is not sufficient for two people. He will be doing the I-864 for one parent. Now his daughter, who is also listed as his dependent on his tax return, makes around 12000. If she files i-864A to combine the income what document would I need.

There is one problem. Even though, they live at same address, On his daughter's paystubs, w-2, and tax return 2015 has a different address.

To qualify as a household member they should be related and have same residence. Her income document is showing different address from his father. But she has a bank statement and driver license with the same address as her father. Can I use her income?

She is also listed as his dependent on his tax. She is 20. For I-864A, a dependent who is living at a different address can also be considered a household member and his/her income can be used. If that's the case. Then on I-864A Part 2 1c., which option should I choose:

Son or daughter

Or

Other dependent (specify)_________

Should I choose daughter but then I would need to show the same residence. Or choose other dependent and where it says specify, should I put "daughter" in blank.

Please answer if you ever had a same situation or you know the answer. Please help me out! Thank You

hi

she isn't a household member if she doesn't live there, she must show proof of relationship to the joint sponsor, which would be daughter, and send a copy of her birth certificate showing he is her father

she must also send proof of living at the same house, if she has proof she will be fine,
