Hi guys,

Firstly I'd just like to say how awesome this forum is and how much the information and experiences people have had here have helped put both my and my fiancés minds at ease. Secondly I realize this may be one for those who know about the London embassy.

We submitted our I-129f on January 20th, received at the lockbox on the 22nd and waiting for our noa1 now. We didn't realize how quickly applications were going through (touch wood) and so we had booked for me to go out to the states from March the 10th until April 22nd during my university spring break due to assuming the process was going to take up to 6-8 months with USCIS which it now seems to not be (again touch wood), based on most applications it seems 2 months is looking like an average meaning our application could well be approved whilst I'm in America and have weeks left, or even, before I head out for a 6 week trip. My issue is, will this leave enough time to get the medical done and interview even with that long of a break before the 4 month date set?

Thanks in advance guys

Once the case gets to London, you control the timeline somewhat. Your interview depends on when you submit your application, medical, and readiness for interview form. You can do that after your trip. If your interview falls after your 4 month petition validity date, London instructions say for the beneficiary to bring a new letter of intent from the petitioner to the interview to re-validate the petition. It's not a problem at all. Half the time they never even ask for that new letter when the petition has expired. It should say "still free to marry and intend to marry within 90 days...." much like the one in the petition packet.

Go get your shots sorted before your trip. It will save you AOS hassles to complete those prior to your medical exam. There is a list in this UK forum post. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/474161-london-k1-a-complete-guide-do-not-post-questions-in-thread/
