Finally ! Last friday we got married ! We could not be happier right now. I do have some questions tho, I am changing my last name but we get confused with how we do it. So far I only have my SSN number, so back to the social security place right?

Other thing is, I read here that it is better to cancel ur flight back in case they still put u on the passenger list or something. But I totally forgot to do that, how can I check if everything is still allright?

By return flight I assume you mean a return flight from America to the Netherlands. You may want to contact the travel agent or Airline if you purchased directly with them. Tell them you will not be flying back on the arranged date but would like to keep the ticket open for future use. Depending upon your ticket you may be able to fly back up to 1 year from the ticket date. You may need to go home for some emergency or other reason within the next year.

As far as name change when you filled out your marriage license there should be a spot for what you want your new name to be however you are not required to change it. It would be completely up to you.

After that you need to notify Social Security office just follow these instructions from one of the board oracles...hehe
