Hi I am a US citizen and my kids 3 and 6 entered the US as IR2. I was told by immigration officer I would receive GC in mail.

I am really confused if they qualify to apply for citizen or not. I ask him but the officer had no knowledge of what I was saying.

I got letter from USCIS requesting 165$ each for the residence card. My thinking is I dont want to pay for the GC because my understanding is my children can apply for citizenship. I guess my question is what is the process to apply if qualify. I dont want to apply for N600 because too expensive. I cant seen to find clear instruction.

Please if you could provide any input I would be most grateful.

thank you

Al
